WHAT HAPPENS AT UNITED WE COOK?
United We Cook is an exciting culinary event where local chefs showcase their talents while raising funds for a meaningful cause. It’s an evening of food, fun, and community, all while supporting United Way of Danville Area. Here’s how it works:
Chef Participation: A select group of 100 chefs will prepare a bite-sized version of their signature dish for event guests. Each chef has the chance to raise funds before and during the event through tips and donations.
Fundraising Efforts: In addition to the bites, we’ll feature tip jars where participants can vote for their favorite chefs and dishes to win the People Choice’s Award.
Sponsorship Opportunities: Local businesses are invited to sponsor the event, helping to make it a success while gaining visibility among attendees.
Mission Spotlight: United Way of Danville Area will have the opportunity to speak during the event to share more about our mission and the impact your participation will have. United Way supports 20 agencies and 27 programs in the Danville Area!
Chef Prizes: Chefs have the chance to win various awards, including "People’s Choice" and "Judges’ Blue Ribbon" prizes, along with bragging rights for their culinary skills!
